Kindergarten Teacher

About me:

I remember being very young and disliking school, I had fear and anxiety. However, I loved to role play as a teacher and make my cousins sit as I taught them on my chalk board. My fear and anxiety carried on to my high school years, and I unfortunately did not get a high school diploma. I taught in the children's ministry at my home church. Ironically I knew God was calling me to be a teacher! There were only a handful of teachers I had growing up, that left a positive impression. I read a quote, “Be who you needed when you were younger.” With the Lord’s help I went back to school, and became a teacher. I have been teaching/working with children for 24 years all together. I worked with infants and toddlers and every age in preschool. I worked here at The Rock church and world outreach center for a total of 14 years. I started off as an aide. I am going on 6 years as the TRCS Kindergarten teacher. Every unpleasant experience I recall as a child in school, I know God was with me and He was working it out for his good! I have such a love and a passion for children. I love watching them grow and learn, not only academically but spiritually! It’s an honor and a privilege to teach here at The Rock Christian school.

Life Scripture:

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
