Upper School Teacher
When I reflect back to when I was in school, I always remember how my teachers impacted my life for the better. They challenged my own expectations, helped me strengthen abilities outside of my comfort zone and helped me become resilient in my efforts and studies. I strive to give back and teach the next generation with the same love, patience, persistence and passion past educators did with me. I have noticed the abundant joy and motivation the students experience when their teachers are passionate about what they are teaching. Teachers with passion inspire students. This passion gets students interested, involved, and even excited about what they are learning. A good teacher has the ability to inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill love and passion in students. It is evident that the influence of a teacher can never be erased. One of my favorite educators, Rita Pierson once said "Every student deserves a champion: an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists they become the best they can possibly be". I believe God blessed me and placed me in this position of influence to help edify and build up the next generation. My passion for teaching, my love for God and the desire to see my students succeed enables me to teach with joy and excitement. I will always strive to be the champion for my students and set them up for success. This is why I teach! I am humbled and blessed to be able to impact the lives of the students here at TRCS and am excited for their futures! Go Lions!
